By downloading or using Quid you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Quid is supplied by Stefan Veleski, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as Quid.

What Quid Is

Quid is a budgeting and personal finance organisation tool for iPhone. It helps you manually record and review budgets, accounts, balances, transactions, debts, goals, investments, bills, recurring payments, tax documents where relevant, and related notes.

Quid does not operate user accounts, bank sync, a Quid-controlled cloud database, or Quid servers that store your financial data.

Licence

On purchase, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Quid on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service and Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement.

You are buying a licence to use the app, not ownership of it. Quid, its source code, design, name and branding remain the property of the developer. You must not copy, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute or sublicense the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

The licence covers Quid version 1.x. Future updates within that version are included at no further charge. A materially different future product may be sold separately.

Trial, Purchase and Refunds

• Price. Quid is a free download. Continued use after the trial requires a one-time in-app purchase of £19.99. There is no subscription, no recurring charge and no paid tier above it. Prices in other territories are set by Apple's pricing tiers and may vary with local taxes and exchange rates.
• Free trial. Quid is a free download that unlocks every feature for 30 days from first launch. The trial period is tracked by the app on your own device. No charge is made automatically at any point. When the trial ends, the app invites you to make the one-time in-app purchase to continue using the paid features. If you choose not to, you are simply not charged.
• Who takes the payment. All purchases and billing are handled by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not process, see or store your payment details.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by the developer. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides refund requests under the App Store Terms of Service. The developer cannot issue, approve or refuse an App Store refund, though we would rather you emailed us first so we can try to fix the problem.
• Statutory rights. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where they apply to you.

Global Use

Quid is available in multiple countries and territories. Some features may not be available, accurate, appropriate or relevant in every country, currency, tax system or device configuration. You are responsible for ensuring your use of Quid suits your circumstances and complies with any laws that apply to you.

Currencies

Quid supports multiple ISO 4217 currencies for display and budgeting. Your selected currency is used to format amounts inside the app.

Quid does not perform currency conversion, provide exchange rates, calculate foreign exchange gains or losses, or verify the accuracy of any exchange rate or institution balance. You are responsible for checking actual balances, fees, charges and transactions with your bank, card provider or lender.

Tax Features

Some features, including the Tax Year Summary and the document vault for payslips, P60s and P45s, are designed for users in the United Kingdom and refer to UK tax years and HMRC paperwork. They may be hidden, unavailable or irrelevant outside the UK or for users who do not select GBP.

Any tax-related information shown in Quid is for general organisational purposes only, and is not tax, legal, accounting or financial advice.

AI Features

Quid uses Apple Intelligence and Apple's on-device foundation models to generate summaries, suggestions, briefings, debt coaching prompts and budget suggestions. These features require an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, with it enabled. Where it is not available, the features are hidden and the rest of the app is unaffected.

Quid does not send your financial data to Quid servers or to any third-party AI provider. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or unsuitable for your circumstances, and you should review it carefully. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax, debt or accounting advice, and you remain responsible for your own decisions.

No Financial Advice

Quid is a budgeting and personal finance organisation tool only. It does not provide regulated financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice or debt advice. It does not recommend financial products, does not make decisions for you, and does not replace a qualified professional.

Device-only Storage and Backups

Quid stores data locally on your device and does not operate accounts or Quid-controlled syncing. You are responsible for maintaining device backups and protecting access to your device.

Deleting the app, resetting your device or losing your device may permanently delete app data unless you hold a valid device backup, which is outside Quid's control. The developer cannot recover data for you, because the developer never has it.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, for reviewing any summary or calculation, and for checking important figures against your bank, card provider, lender, employer, tax authority or accountant.

You must not use Quid unlawfully, harmfully, or in a way intended to misuse the app.

Availability and Changes

Quid may change over time. Features may vary, be unavailable or be removed depending on device capabilities, Apple software availability, App Store distribution, country, currency or product development needs. We may update these Terms; the current version is always published here with its date.

Limitation of Liability

Quid is an informational organisation tool supplied for personal, non-commercial use. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The developer is not liable for any financial loss, lost profit, lost savings, missed payment, tax penalty, interest charge, investment loss or business loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, Quid, or from any figure, summary, forecast or AI-generated output it produces.
• The developer is not liable for loss of data resulting from device loss, device failure, app deletion, device reset, or the absence of a valid backup.
• Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, the developer's total liability to you for all claims connected with Quid is limited to the amount you actually paid for the app.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Quid is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, except for warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending This Licence

You may end this licence at any time by deleting Quid from your devices. The licence ends automatically if you materially breach these Terms, in particular the licence restrictions above. Ending the licence does not by itself entitle you to a refund; refunds are decided by Apple as described above.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, except where the laws of your country of residence give you mandatory consumer rights or require a different jurisdiction that cannot legally be excluded.
